In the majority of cases, thermal waters represent a complex mineral raw material: they often possess balneological properties; they act as a natural carrier of heat energy in the interior of the Earth; they serve as a source of valuable microcomponents (or their compounds), salts, and auxiliary gases; and they are used in technological processes. Because of the energy crisis in many countries, man in the last decades has increasingly relied on so - called alternative energy sources, including hydrogeothermal energy.
