Abstract

A number of hydrocarbon (HC) compounds move with or in water and are usually referred to<br>as dense non-aqueous-phase liquid or DNAPL’s. Contamination of groundwater by such<br>hydrocarbons has a strong, deleterious effect on groundwater quality and the environment.
