Abstract

This paper discusses the application of geophysical methods to solve water supply problems
in urban and rural settlements in Yugoslavia. For this hydrogeological study, a wide range of
geophysical methods were used: resistivity – soundings and mapping in different arrays, self-potential
method (SP), Mise a la masse, induced potential (IP), electromagnetic methods Slingram and Transient,
well-logging, geothermal methods, seismic refraction methods, etc. Examples of the application of
geophysical methods to solve water supply problems in urban and rural settlements in Yugoslavia are
presented.
