Abstract
The Blikhuis site is located around citrus orchards on the property Groot Hexrivier, along the right (east) bank of the Olifants<br>River, between Citrusdal and Clanwilliam (Figure 1). It is close to the hinge zone of the Olifants River Syncline (ORS), a<br>major N/S-trending structure in the Western Branch of the Cape Fold Belt, in which rocks of the Table Mountain Group<br>(TMG) are downfolded.
