Abstract
This paper provides an update on recent developments and<br>highlights some problem areas associated with the latest<br>generation of extreme drilling applications. Deepwater,<br>extended-reach (ER) and ultra-deep (UD) wells dictate large<br>spread rates that can benefit from reduced tripping times.
