Both core description and the log detection have evidenced the<br>presence of bitumen inside the Bul Hanine Field (figure 1),<br>which can be particularly abundant in some wells. This tar mat<br>severely impacts reservoir production behaviour because it<br>acts as a permeability reducer and a barrier to flow.
