A-10 DETECTION OF GROUND ROLL FOR MULTICOMPONENT POINT-RECEIVER DATA Abstract 1 A method for the detection and filtering of ground roll is introduced which is suitable for the application on point-receiver data. The detection method utilizes the polarization properties of ground roll and additionally takes into account the relatively high amplitudes of ground roll compared to other parts of the seismic section. The filtering is performed via an adaptive signal processing technique especially designed for point receiver data.
