Introduction The Chestnut Field operated by Premier Oil is located in Block 22/2a some 8 km SE of the Alba Field. The field was discovered in 1986 by the 22/2-5 well and further delineated by 22/2a- 7Z and 22/2a-7Y in 1988. Three other appraisal wells were drilled but all of these failed to find the objective
