P025 DEEP STRUCTURE OF THE BARENTS PLATE FROM GEOPHYSICAL INVESTIGATIONS SUMMARY 1 The Barents Plate (BP) is the largest shelf structure of the Arctic region passed starting up Pre- Cambrian through paraplatform platform rift and basin phase of tectonic evolution. As a result a sedimentary cover was formed the total thickness of one reaches to 20 km. Three large tectonosedimentary complexes are distinguished in the sedimentary cover. They are: a lower terrigenouscarbonate complex of Paleozoic a middle mainly carbonate complex of Upper-Devoninan-Permian and an upper terrigenous complex of Permian-Cenozoic age.
