P036 ACOUSTIC FREQUENCY SIGNATURES OF LABORATORY FRACTURED ROCKS 1 Introduction. Laboratory acoustic emission (AE) studies are useful as scale models of earthquakes and mining rock bursts. This study is focused on the frequency content of AE signals and ultrasonic transmission signals detected from rock triaxially stressed to fracture. Specifically we investigate AE source (crack) parameters using a spectrum analysis of AE signals. Experimental Technique.
