Physical aspects of heat transport in porous media

At present the search for energy other than coal, oil or gas is popular and the exploitation of geothermal energy provides an interesting alternative. For the design of exploitation sites, numerical models are in use, which should be validated by field test and analytical solutions. In this paper different physical processes encountered in heat transport in porous media and validation by analytical tools are explored.
