Abstract

Measurements of spectral induced polarization (SIP) data were performed during a biostimulation experiment consisting of electron donor amendment. The implementation of an appropriate error model for the phase data within a complex resistivity inversion algorithm provided images free of artifacts, exhibiting phase anomalies well correlated with spatiotemporal changes in geochemical conditions resulting from stimulated subsurface microbial activity.
