Abstract
In the southern margin of Junggar Basin(mainly in the western section of the southern edge), four sets of source rocks<br>including Permian, Jurassic, Cretaceous and Tertiary source rocks are developed. Permian and Jurassic source rocks are<br>basically located at the southern edge of the region; Cretaceous source rocks are mainly located in the Huo- Tu - Ma region;<br>Tertiary source rocks are mainly located in the vicinity of Sikeshu area.
