Abstract

One thermophilic anaerobic oil-degrading bacterium was successfully isolated from reservoir brine of Yabase oilfield,<br>INPEX Corp., Akita, Japan. The potential of the isolated bacterium as a candidate for Microbial EOR (MEOR) was estimated<br>in this study.
