Combined stochastic and deterministic modelling as an innovative approach to jointly interpret multi-method airborne geophysical data sets

Whilst deterministic modelling has become an undisputed tool of geophysical data interpretation, multivariate<br>stochastic methods have rarely been utilised routinely. During the past few years, the Council for Geoscience, in cooperation<br>with the Federal Institute for Geosciences and Natural Resources of Germany (BGR), has developed and<br>tested a strategy to combine the benefits of these two quite different conceptual procedures of information<br>extraction from geophysical data sets.
