Abstract
Lake Carolyn, in Irving Texas is a 111 acre artificial lake that serves as a water feature for the mixed residual and commercial community of Las Colinas. The lake fills a 2,500 acre-ft borrow pit, excavated in 1977 in the Cretaceous Eagle Ford Formation and alluvium of the nearby Elm Fork River.
