Abstract

The results of improvements to the physical design of a seismic Vibrator are shown. These improvements lead to improved low and high frequency energy levels, improved Vibrator control under variable ground conditions and an improvement in the weighted sum signal such that it better matches the ground force, or source signature, of the Vibrator. These improvements will lead directly to significantly better seismic data in a variety of terrains.
