Abstract
A05 PROBLEMS AND SOLUTIONS FOR ELASTIC MIGRATION IN THE ANGLE-AZIMUT DOMAIN Introduction 1 The classic approach for true amplitude migration in the offset domain uses the Beylkin determinant (Beylkin 1985) which is the Jacobian of the change of coordinates from the surface acquisition (CMP coordinates) to the illuminations vector at the depth point. The Beylkin Jacobian handles the irregularity of illumination due to the propagation in the subsurface assuming a reasonably regular acquisition. The Beylkin determinant was extended to migration in the scattering angle domain for marine type survey by Xu et al. (1998) and results in a rather complex
