Abstract
Planning the best acquisition design for a specific objective is one of the most important phases of the whole acquisition/processing/interpretation process, mainly when it is necessary to surpass the environmental difficulties and the HSEQ issues. This work will demonstrate some of the challenges that had to be confronted in order to conclude a 3d resistivity survey through mixed terrain-underwater environment with rough topography and dense vegetation in Amazonia. It also presents the measures that had to be taken to collect a reliable resistivity dataset. Nevertheless, the survey was successful and subsequent ground-truthing confirmed the impacted areas predicted from the geophysical data.
