AIE-2 Electrical Prospecting System and its Geological Applications

AIE-2 electrical prospecting system is an up-to-date and sophisticated tool for transient electromagnetic (TEM) and time-domain induced polarization (TDIP) methods. It comprises transmitter and receiver instrumentation along with their control software, as well as processing and interpretation software products. AIE-2 system has been effectively used in a variety of geological projects: in exploration for cupper-nickel, massive sulphide, gold, kimberlite and rare metals, for groundwater exploration and in environmental investigations. Some case histories are presented: exploration of a gold deposit in Orenburg region and groundwater exploration on Sakhalin island.
