Geoelectric Methods Application for Mapping the Zones with High Content of Methane

The results of geoelectric investigation on the Sukhodolskaya-Vostochnaya coal mine with the reason of finding and contouring the area with high content of gas in coal layers and enclosing rocks are given. Six anomalous zones with high gas content were mapped within the minefield by the FSPEF grid survey. The depths of occurrence and thickness of the rock layers with high gas content were determined by VERS method. The data of the geoelectric methods FSPEF and VERS give additional information for the degassing bore holes optimum arrangements.
