Abstract

Two most popular Russian tomographic algorithms Firstomo/XTomo and Godograf are tested. Theoretical background of Firstomo/XTomo algorithm was drawn in Saint-Petersburg State University meantime Godograf is developed in Moscow State University. Both approaches are tested on deep seismic sounding data acquired by State Company Sevmorgeo on geotransect 2-AR in Barents-Kara region. Ocean Bottom Seismometers were laid out with average space 10 km. Powerful air-gun provided shot every 250 meters up to offsets 150-200 km. Acquired data set has been processed with both tomographic algorithms. The velocity models obtained are presented and discussed. Advantages and disadvantages of both algorithms are shown.
