Abstract

We propose a technique for dynamic analysis of waves identified in DSS (deep seismic sounding) with postcritical reflections from Moho boundary. The investigations are carried out on model data. Ray tracing and wave fields modeling were realized for two alternative velocity models of the lower Earth’s crust. It is shown that characteristics of AVO-response result in identification of wave type (diving or reflected) and determining the type of the model. For a confirmed reflected wave we apply AVO-inversion in order to derive elastic properties of the lower crust and the upper mantle.
