Abstract

Preliminary and partial results of a gravity survey on the Juquiá alkaline-carbonatite complex are presented. The gravity
survey shows a complex pattern characterized by a 3D geometry in correspondence to the magnetic anomalies defined
through the São Paulo - Rio de Janeiro aeromagnetic survey project. To improve the resolution of the present inferred
structures, additional gravity measurements will be performed for the main outcropping or buried bodies, followed by a
3D gravity modelling taking into account the magnetic signature of the whole complex .The preliminary results here
presented are part of a larger project aiming the volumetric, geometric and emplacement evaluation for a number of
alkaline intrusive bodies in the region.
