Abstract

This paper presents an integrated study of magnetic, geologic and geomorphologic data of the Umuarama
geomorphic anomaly, Parana Basin. The geology is formed by cretaceous sediments (sands), basalts (Serra
Geral Formation) and alluvium. The geomorphic anomaly shows a radial drainage pattern but the geologic
surveys did not give a clear response of a structural high. The magnetic interpretation defined a structural
pattern with NW-SE, NE-SW and secondary E-W lineaments and the configuration of a dome structure with
approximated area of 10.000km2.
