Abstract

The reduction to the pole and the 3-D analytic signal transformations, two important processing techniques for the magnetic data treatment, are analyzed and used on real data. The aeromagnetic data from Curaçá River Valley, in Bahia, are processed to obtain the RTP and 3-D analytic signal maps. These new informations plus the original aeromagnetic data and the local geological knowledge are correlated and integrated, allowing us to refine the knowledge of the area, synthesized by a schematic map<br>containing some geological features not shown in the original geological map. These results may subsidize the copper exploration programs for the Curaçá Copper District.
