Abstract
An integrated study including geoelectrical methods, drilling and chemical water analysis was carried out in seven distinct<br>areas. The objective was to determine the extent of ou contamination in groundwater. The boundary detection of the ou<br>contamination depends upon the geologic conditions. The resistivity of the partially saturated rock is critical to detection<br>of adsorbed ou above groundwater level. The water table depth determines the geoelectrical capacity to detect the<br>hydrocarbon thin layer situated at the interface between unsaturated zone and comparatively more conductive saturated<br>zone below.
