Abstract

Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR) is one technique which has been effectively used in so many applications, mainly because it´s a
high resolution non-destructive method, very useful for urban area investigations. But to use GPR we must be carefull about its
real application in order to solve our problem. High conductivity layers, as saturated shales, poluted waters, like Tietê river in São
Paulo City, maybe cause many problems in acquiring data. In this article we show some examples in using GPR and we also try to
give some advices in order to help you to plan your GPR survey.
