Abstract

The results of a re-interpretation of deep resistivity soundings
done in the Oudtshoorn Cretaceous Basin in the light of recent
models developed for the Cape Fold Belt are discussed. The re
interpretation was aimed at resolving the geological structure
within the Cape Super Group rocks below the younger Cretaceous
age cover in order to identify possible drilling targets for deep
ground water sources associated with fault structures. The results
of three dimensional resistivity modelling of the resistivity.
response across fault structure dipping at different angles are also
discussed.
