Abstract

Detection of reservoir distribution in 3D is one of the most important tasks for petroleum exploration in the Malay Basin and Gulf of Thailand, where highly stratified thin sand reservoirs are distributed complicatedly. Geology Driven Integration (GDI)*1 is one of the most effective techniques utilized to analyze the seismic pattern and to predict reservoir distribution and lithologic change directly from seismic attributes applying Artificial Neural Network (ANN) method. This paper presents the case study in the North Malay<br>Basin which was carried out by JGI and CPOC in 2007.
