O3 - 06 REGIONAL GEOPHYSICS & GEOTECTONICS BIRTH DEVELOPMENT AND CLOSURE OF THE DACIAN BASIN (UPPER NEOGENE ROMANIA) Dan Jipa Radu Olteanu National Institute for Marine Geology and Geoecology - GeoEcoMar Bucharest Romania The Dacian Basin territory extended from the foot of the Southern and Eastern Carpathians to the present-day belt of the Lower Danube River north of the Pre-Balkan space. The Dobrogean Highland limited the eastern extention of the Basin leaving room for communication with the Black Sea Depression.
