The purpose of this work is to present a procedure for survey of soils, based on DC electrical resistivity. The study area has 5 km2 and is located at Distrito Federal, in the central region of Brazil. Results showed that clay rich soils are less resistive than sandy soils, and vertical electrical soundings (VES) permitted to identify the underground variation of resistivity. The sandy soils have 22200 Ohm.m, and a conductive-resistive-conductive structure, where the upper layer has 1.3 meters of thickness. The clay rich soils have 6200 Ohm.m and a resistive-conductive-resistive structure, where the upper layer has 4 meters of thickness.
