Abstract

The objective of this study is to map aquifers in the southeastern portion of Cuiaba, applying the electromagnetic inductive method. Underground water is stored in fractures and faults crystalline rocks, zones aquifers called. In the southern and southeast of Cuiabá, outcrops of rocks Training Rio Coxipó, intensely folded and fractured. Were selected, two areas in this portion of the comunity Cinturão Verde Pedra 90, because of the high shortage of potable water. The lines were made in directions S10W and S80E in two areas (A and B), and the results are presented eletrical condutctivy maps. In area A was observed a region of apparent electrical conductivity higher suggesting a good probability of groundwater, as indicated by the existing well in the area. In area B the central portion has high conductivity, may be related to the occurrence of groundwater, but is not well.
