This work was developed from synthetic data in order to simulate the coastal basins of the continental shelf of eastern Brazil, simulating also the accumulations of hydrocarbons that exist in this basins, and the types of reservoirs. The main objective of this work, was to present the complete flowchart, with regard to all stages of the work of the seismic method, ie from the configuration of subsurface geological model, from data acquisition to complete the processing stage seismic data, including from the velocity analysis, NMO correction, stacking, and finally the migration. The latter is used to make the scans, ie, show how it would actually subsurface geology in the target region, is this image that will be used by the interpreter. The techniques follow a predermined flowchart and realized following a Makefile that works as a organizer of steps. The process used is known as conventional processing and have the following main steps: settinh geometry; filtration; velocity analysis; stacking; migration. This steps were performed on the desktop Linux and called Seismic Unix developed by Central Wave Phenomena (CWP) from the Colorado School of Mines, installed on the machines in the laboratory of the seismic processing, PROSIS.
