Abstract

The complexity and heterogeneity of reservoirs makes it extremely difficult to characterize and predict recovery. Oil industry geoscientists and engineers have made strides in developing advanced petrophysical algorithms and formation evaluation techniques to understand the fluid flow mechanisms.
