Abstract

C009 ANALYSIS FROM 3D FAULT DISPLACEMENT EXTRACTED FROM SEISMIC DATA Introduction 1 A new method for fault displacement analysis is proposed. The method is a two-step process where automatic fault extraction from seismic represents the first step [1] and a fault system analysis represent the second step [2]. In the second step the interpreter then uses a top-down approach meaning that all faults surfaces are already created and can be directly analysed on a system level.
