The Argyll Field Block 30/24 was the UK’s first producing offshore oilfield in 1975 and was abandoned after 17 years having produced 73MMstb. The field was resurrected some ten years later as the Ardmore Field operated by Tuscan Energy and produced its “second”(new) oil in September 2003. The third producer has just been completed successfully in the field.
