Abstract

F038 GEOLOGICAL CHARACTERISATION OF CONTA-MINATED COMPLEX FRACTURED SYSTEMS K.E.S. KLINT Geological Survey of Denmark and Greenland (GEUS) Dept of Quaternary Geology Oestervoldgade 10 1350 Copenhagen K Denmark Summary In this study a new integrated methodology for characterising fractures and calculating quantitative fracture input parameters for hydraulic simulators is presented. The methodology is based on mesoscopic field scale measurements of fractured outcrops in special designed excavations which forms the basis for down and upscaling analysis of microscopic pore scale structures and macroscopic fracture characteristics. The fracture analyses provide the basis for construction of a conceptual geological model and calculation of statistical
