BASTIA (RELIANCE INDUSTRIES) AND Abstract 1 Deep-water exploration in the Krishna-Godavari offshore basin India has resulted in the largest gasfield discovery in the world in recent years. The Krishna-Godavari basin is located in the east coast of India bordering the state of Andhra Pradesh. The basin consists of a sedimentary area of approximately 100 000 sq. km in both land and sea.
