G003 JOINT INFERENCE OF POROSITY AND SATURATION FROM MULTIPLE WELL LOGS Abstract 1 We present a methodology for simultaneous inference of porosity and saturation based on the Bayesian probability theory. The methodology is used to invert a set of wireline logs consisting of porosity (φ) density (ρ) P-wave (α) and S-wave (β) velocity and resistivity (R) logs. The formal solution of a Bayesian calculation is a joint posterior distribution for porosity and saturation which takes into account data uncertainties and prior information from rock physics including clay content matrix mineralogy and pressure.
