G028 Abstract 1 We recall and use Kirchhoff imaging formula for elastic reflection coefficient in anisotropic media in order to demonstrate that preserved-amplitude migration is able to reconstruct the correct AVA behavior of anisotropic subsurface reflectivity. Then we evaluate the dynamic misfit that can be expected if the imaging process is degraded to the use of an imaging formula for isotropic instead of anisotropic reflection coefficient. Finally an application on a 2D real dataset is presented.
