G034 A STUDY OF THE IMPACT OF MARINE DATA ACQUISITION ON THE PREDICTION OF MULTIPLES IN 3D SRME Abstract 1 In this paper the impact of acquisition design on the ability to predict 3D multiples in 3D SRME is investigated. Using very simplistic synthetic models it is shown that the amount of data acquired has a significant impact when data-driven reconstruction methods are used to predict the multiples. Results from this study indicate that overlap shooting and an increased number of streamers per sailline leads to a better-constrained reconstruction of the 3D multiples.
