Abstract

H006 APPLICATIONS OF FLOW LOGGING AT RADIOACTIVE WASTE RESEARCH LABORATORIES IN FRANCE AND SWEDEN Background 1 The geologic characterization for radioactive waste disposal in sedimentary rock and fractured crystalline rocks uses many tools that have been developed for evaluating petroleum reservoirs including wireline logging and detailed seismic exploration methods. Unlike most petroleum development projects radioactive waste research programs are able to characterize the rock in greater detail. In this paper we present approaches to heat-pulse flow logging measurements in wells. The logs are similar to that are similar to oil-field production logs but with a much larger range flow measurement
