Abstract

H010 Very shallow high resolution measurements using a hydraulic vibrator Summary 1 High frequencies and sufficient bandwidth are a prerequisite of high resolution seismics. Be means of a profile across young glacial structures different techniques to achieve high resolution were examined. A full use of frequencies up to 380 Hz improves seismic resolution despite deteriorating the S/N ratio of unstacked data. A significant improvement is obtained by taking groundforce as correlation operator. A deconvolution for signal compression offers some advantages and its results are least equivalent to correlation. Introduction The quality of seismic images crucially depends on a seismic signal
