Abstract

S H021 NORNE STEERED STREAMER 4D CASE STUDY Summary 1 In this paper we describe the first marine seismic 4D project to use steered streamer technology for both the baseline and monitor surveys. The case history covers the results and repeatability analyses of the acquisition and data processing. Osdal (2004) describes the use of the results to improve the reservoir management of the Norne field. Extremely high repeatability of recording positions and rapid turn around and delivery of 4D difference cubes were the key issues for this study. A 4D amplitude difference volume was produced on the vessel within 10
