P024 BIREFRINGENCE ANALYSIS OF CONVERTED S-WAVES IN ORTHORHOMBIC MEDIA: A SIMPLIFIED APPROACH Summary 1 The S-wave birefringence in anisotropic media is defined by the apparition of two distinguished Swaves with their own eigen polarisations and velocities. The analysis and compensation of this birefringence are essential to preserve the resolution of S-waves.
