Abstract
P046 MODELING STRUCTURAL MAPPING ERRORS FOR STOCHASTIC ESTIMATION OF GEOLOGIC RISK N. L. IVANOVA A. G. AVERBUKH Central Geophysical Expedition 38/3 Narodnogo Opolcheniya Street 123298 Moscow Russia Summary. This paper highlights a technique to estimate structural mapping errors on which basis estimation is subsequently made of geologic risk associated with uncertainties of the structural maps and filtration-and-capacity characteristics within a structure localized from seismic data. Hydrocarbon reserves distribution as a geologic risk characteristic is determined by the methods of stochastic simulation. Introduction. Quantitative estimate of risk is essential for decision making regarding hydrocarbon exploration. Structural maps as major parameters for
