P092 NONLINEAR ELASTICITY WITH HYSTERESIS IN ARBITRARY ANISOTROPIC ROCKS - DIRECT AND INVERSE PROBLEMS - Summary 1 Seismic anisotropy in rocks due to a variety of causes (e.g. fractures layering shale …) is now largely accepted and commonly taken into account in processing softwares. Rocks also exhibit a nonlinear elastic response often related with presence of complian features (e.g. cracks fractures grain contacts…) but not exhaustively which manifests itself for instance in a nonlinear stress/strain relation.
