P191 BOREHOLE SEISMIC MEASUREMENTS IN WESTERN SIBERIA USING THE IMPULSIVE SOURCE GEOTON Abstract 1 Application of non-explosive impulsive sources provides several advantages over borehole explosions. Tyumenneftegeophysika JS executes seismic surveys using the impulsive source GEOTON. Its impact power enables to record reflections from deep horizons (more than 3 km deep) and its apparent frequency (40-50 Hz) – to acquire sections with resolution.
