P256 SEISMIC DETECTION OF DELTAIC SEDIMENTS OF PRODUCTIVE-RED STRATA IN THE SOUTH CASPIAN BASIN The basement surface of the Caspian Basin (SCB) lies a depth of 25-28 km making it one of the deepest basin in the world. The SCB related to rare basins of rapid subsidence and avalanche sedimentation. Reduction of areas of shelf accumulation and decrease of total dimensions of basin in Cenozoic is typical to SCB.
